2pure

2011 has been another great year at 2pure. We believe this is because we continue to cultivate close relationships with everyone we work with, colleagues, suppliers, brands, dealers and consumers.

The 2pure team has three new additions we'd like to introduce. Kylie Hendrie joined in April as our Marketing Co-ordinator followed shortly after by David Hicks, our Supply Chain Co-ordinator and Stephen Stanker, our new Mechanic.

Another addition to 2pure is POC a clothing, accessories and body armour brand from Sweden. They bring something very fresh to our brand mix and we are extremely excited to be the people responsible for building POC in the UK.

We very much look forward to a showing you our wares at Core Bike 2012.

The 2pure Team

2pure is a distributor of bikes, clothing, components and nutrition.

Clif Bar & Company

In 1990 whilst on a bike ride, Gary Erickson decided he could make a better energy bar than the ones available. And he did. In his mom's kitchen. Since those days, Clif Bar has grown to be the biggest selling energy bar in the US and to this day, Clif Bars taste deliciously home baked.

But perhaps the most impressive thing about Clif Bar is their commitment to people, to community, and to environment. It's a truly ethical company.

Since the creation of the first original 'Clif Bar', the product range has grown and now has 'Builders Bars' designed for protein building and 'Luna Bars', specifically designed for female nutrition. There is also the popular 'Shot' range of energy products in the form of chews, gels and drinks.

We'll be bringing some brand new flavours for you to try at Core this year. A delicious White Chocolate Macadamia Luna Bar and Tropical Punch flavoured Shot Blocks. However the biggest news, is the long awaited arrival of the Clif Shot Energy Gels on UK shores. We'll have all four flavours for you to try, Razz, Citrus, Chocolate and Double Espresso.

Crank Brothers

Crankbrothers are one of the most innovative companies in cycling. Since their inception, they have taken all we knew about tool, pump and pedal design and turned it upside down to create truly unique products that stand out in any crowd.

With continuous evolvement comes improvement and many products have been completely redesigned. So confident are crankbrothers of these improvements, many products now come with five year warranty.

With four pricing brackets across most categories, the ever expanding product range now appeals to a wider market of riders than ever before.

We'll be showing eleven product categories at Core Bike, from old favourites such as pedals and wheelsets to all new categories such as packs.

Feedback Sports

Feedback Sports was founded in 2004 by Colorado bike racers Doug and Lisa Hudson. Their line of simple and sturdy digital scales quickly became ubiquitous among gram-counting cyclists.

In 2008, Feedback Sports acquired Ultimate Bike Support, a company with a worldwide reputation for designing and manufacturing top quality bicycle repair stands and storage products. Using lightweight, oversized aluminum, high performance composites, and great ideas, Feedback has made their portable repair stands the professional choice throughout the world. You only have to wander through the pits at the worlds elite cycling events to see race support crews such as Gary Fisher, Kona, Specialized, Mavic, Shimano, SRAM and of course, the 2pure mechanics, to see who rely's on Feedback Sports products every day.

With a focus on solid engineering, Feedback Sports has always been devoted to making innovative products. The Pro-Elite repair stand is a great example. Its base tripod is strong, light, and easy to open and is coupled with a unique clamping mechanism which makes holding and releasing a bike easier than ever before. To remove, simply grab the bike, and push the button, and the clamping jaws spring open. The 2011 reviews and testing in UK press speak for themselves.

It's innovation like this and their pursuit of the highest quality which make Feedback Sports the true market leader in bike support products.

Ibis Cycles

In 1981 Ibis was founded by Scot Nicol (AKA Chuck Ibis). Scot cut his teeth with the legendary Marin county stalwarts Joe Breeze and Charlie Cunningham.

After a change of hands and some time off, Scot returned to Ibis in 2003 with a new crew and a vision to make some of the most cutting edge bicycle frames available. Consisting of Hans Heim (industry veteran of Specialized, Bontrager & Santa Cruz), Tom Morgan (Giant, Answer & Titec), Roxy Lo (industrial designer) and Scot/Chuck, the team at Ibis are dedicated to bringing the best to the world of cycling.

In 2006, after over 1700 hours of design work, the first Ibis Mojo Carbon debuted. Expanding on the success of the Mojo are a few other innovative carbon fibre designs.

There is the Mojo SL weighing in at under 22lbs for a 140mm travel bike. There is the Tranny geared/singlespeed/travel bike/race machine hardtail as well as the Silk SL road frame and Hakkalügi cyclocross frame. Last year we premiered the Ibis Mojo HD which features 160mm of Ibis spec DW-Link travel, a tapered headtube, Maxle rear axle and an all new high strength carbon layup unlike anything else available.

For Core Bike 2012 we'll be showing the Ibis Mojo SL-R, a continual development of the Mojo HD and the SL. The result is a phenomenally light, startlingly still trail bike.

Lizard Skins

Lizard Skins started from one very simple, but highly effective product. Since then, their patented chainstay protector has often been copied, but never bettered. Over time, Lizard Skins have added grips, gloves, suspension covers, protective gear, BMX kit and DVDs to its range of products.

Now you can see Lizard Skins everywhere in the industry from bar tape on Tour de France bikes to grips on BMX bikes at the Beijing Olympics. Vacans Oleil team rode the entire 2011 Tour de France using Lizard Skins DSP bar tape. Probably because its lighter, grippier and more comfortable than anything else on the market.

Lizard Skins takes both development and production quality very seriously. Products are designed in consultation with their sponsored riders and through this the best selling Peaty Grip, Bubba Harris grip and Aaron Chase grip were born. And Lizard Skins use special stitching techniques on their Neoprene products, which almost completely eliminate stitching failure.

Their aim is "Protect the bike and rider while making the ride more enjoyable." We think they do a pretty nice job.

NiteRider

In 1989 NiteRider was the first company to produce technical lighting systems that were designed specifically for the needs of cyclists. Over the years these technical lights have garnered a reputation for innovation and quality that is second to none. That's why you'll see everyone from 24 hour champion Tinker Juarez to the Los Angeles Police Dept. using NiteRider lights to keep riding long after the sun has set.

The 2012 range of the lights are some of the most technologically advanced lights ever made. The flagship light is the Pro 3000 which pumps out an unbelievable 3000 lumens! Twice as much as its closest rival from the range, the Pro 1500. The MiNewt range offers riders completely cordless riding with up to 600 lumens. The Mako Commuter Series hosts some of the best value lights we have ever seen on the market.

We have been keeping in touch with riders throughout the country with our support of 24 hour races such as Sleepless in the Saddle, Mountain Mayhem and Relentless 24. NiteRider view these races as the ultimate testing ground and the information we gather from talking to riders as we charge their lights helps us assist NiteRider in making products that get better and better each year. The 2012 range is testament to that.

Paceline Products

Paceline Products started life in 1993 to develop and market a skin lubricant and synthetic chamois conditioner. The initial goal of the company was to make a non-greasey skin lubricant and chamois cream that would wash out of clothing and off skin with soap and water.

And so, Chamois Butt'r was invented. To begin with it was
available to racing cyclists on a very limited basis. In 1997 Chamois Butt'r was introduced to consumers and retailers regionally. The popularity of Chamois Butt'r has been a key part of the success of Paceline Products.

Paceline have two versions of their popular Chamois Butt'r cream, Original and Eurostyle for those who like that extra tingle. Paceline are also launching Buh-Bump, a unique, highly conductive electrode cream that allows users of heart rate monitors to achieve accurate and consistent readings at all times.

Pedro's

In 1989 two guys from New England created Pedro's. The company built its foundation on quality products, a true passion for cycling, and a commitment to the environment. That company grew considerably to become Pedro's USA, with more than 100 bicycle care products sold in 34 countries.

22 years later they are still committed to their founding missions. They have 25 grassroots teams and pro teams which aid them in constantly developing their product. Pedro's have grown their business in a nice way that respects people, animals, and the planet.

At the core of their mission is a belief that the best way to help the planet is to help people ride their bikes and they do this very well.

Pinhead

Pinhead Components Inc. was formed in 1997 in Canada to develop an effective locking system for bicycle components. At that time, there were many kinds of bicycle frame locks, but there was no effective component locking system designed to protect the bike's individual components from theft...so they created one.

Despite originally licensing their design to manufacturer, Kryptonite, Pinhead have since grown as a business and production is now in-house. Pinhead's internationally patented locking system gives bicycle owners effective, affordable, protection from the growing problem of bicycle component theft. Starting with wheel skewers, the range has grown to include a seat collar lock, a headset/fork lock and lastly the 'Bubble Lock'.

The beauty of the Pinhead Components system is that one single key, with thousands of possible combinations, works with all the locks. One key now provides enough security to protect not just your bike, but also the most valuable components on your bike from attack, and ensure potential thieves walk away frustrated and empty handed.

With the cycle market increasing and riders spending more and more on their bikes and components, this brand has never been more relevant.

POC

New to 2pure for 2011 is POC. For those unfamiliar with the brand, they are represented across helmets, body armour, gloves, clothing and sunglasses.

We like POC because its a breath of fresh air to the market with its clean, minimal design and bright colours. And the product? Well its just astounding.

Also a big fan of the brand is sponsored rider, Danny MacAskill. He's the quiet dedicated chap you'll see performing some pretty cool moves on his bike and sporting some pretty cool protection whilst doing so.

We are committed to holding stock throughout the season so we are able to build the brand and ensure its longevity in the UK.

Quite frankly, we can't wait to show it to you.
